Our Beavers and Cubs had an exciting and educational evening as they visited Crewe Fire Station this week. The visit was filled with fun, learning, and a unique opportunity to meet our local firefighting heroes from Cheshire Fire Service!
The evening kicked off with a warm welcome from the firefighters, who introduced the children to the station and its vital role in keeping our community safe. The kids were buzzing with excitement as they got an up-close look at the impressive fire engines and the wide range of life-saving equipment used in emergencies.
One of the highlights of the visit was learning about fire safety. The firefighters shared important tips on how to stay safe in the event of a fire, the importance of smoke alarms, and how to make an emergency plan at home. The Beavers and Cubs asked plenty of questions and were eager to soak up this crucial knowledge.
The most thrilling part of the night, of course, was when the children had the chance to sit inside the fire engine! They were also able to try on some of the firefighter gear, imagining what it’s like to respond to emergencies. The smiles and excitement on their faces said it all!
Our Beavers and Cubs walked away with newfound respect for the work of Cheshire Fire Service, as well as a deeper understanding of fire safety and the bravery it takes to be a firefighter.
A huge thank you to Cheshire Fire Service for welcoming us and providing such a memorable experience. The kids had a fantastic time, and we’re sure this is an evening they won’t soon forget!
Stay tuned for more adventures from our Beavers and Cubs!
